I finally figured out what I wanted to do for backgrounds and I’ve been working on finishing these cute cyptid watercolor paintings and getting them online. First up is the Yeti. He’s probably my favorite of the bunch. I used hand drawn mountains in the background because I want each of the backgrounds to be Read More
I guess I’m not quite ready for summer to end so I used a few pages of my sketchbook to draw mermaids. Here’s a little peek at those pages.
Here’s the next cryptid in my Cute Cryptid series. Say “hi” to the Yeti! He’s mostly done at this point. Just needs some pen work to really complete the picture. This painting was done in watercolor using only three colors.

A new watercolor painting today. A bear with a sweet tooth. Lucky for him, the bees don’t seem upset.

Even some of the nature docs like to call them “the unicorns of the sea.” They are really fascinating creatures though so I can see why so many people love them. I personally find myself loving all the arctic sea creatures. It’s amazing what Read More

This is a baby harp seal which you’ve probably seen pictures of before. So cute! I couldn’t resist painting that happy face. It’s very much winter in Read More
